A typical Chinese wedding dinner in Malaysia which is often held in local high class Chinese restaurant. A Chinese wedding dinner typically has nine to ten courses in which expensive dishes such as shark fin soup, jumbo shrimp, whole steam fish, sea bass or sea cucumber are common.
Traditionally, after a few dish of the dinner, the groom and bride and their families will approach each table to toast the guests. For large reception usually the toast will be organised on a special stage because it is quite time consuming to approach each table.
After the last dish is served, the groom and bride along with their families member, will proceed to the entrance to bid the guests farewell and thanks them for attending.
