Menai Bridge at low tide with iced rocks and algae
Wales

When the tide went out this mornig it was about -5°C. This meant that the water that was lapping over the algae covered rocks built up a thin layer of ice. I only got there in the afternoon when the clouds looked as if we were in for another bit of snow.

I liked the look of the abandoned boats "caught" in the ice and the winter lighting gave the whole scene a kind of eerie look.

In the distance at NE (behind the green rowing boat) you can just about see Bangor pier protruding into the Menai Strait.
