Views of countryside from old southern Gate to City of Ronda formally known as the Almocabar Gate. It was of Arab construction, the walls of which surrounded the old medina town. The  fortification wall and gate were all but destroyed during the city´s recapture during the Peninsular war of the early 1800s and not restored to their present glory until after the Spanish Civil war.
