Malookhtinsky bridge constructed in 1984 to connect roads on embarkment as a line. It named by the analogy with the name of the nearest bridge Bolsheokhtinsky (big Okhta) bridge and became Malookhtinsky (small Okhta) bridge.

It has one pedestrian sidewalk that could be reached by metal stairway.
