The Jungle Canopy from the top of Temple V, Tikal

The vertiginous climb up the precipitous northern face to the top of Temple V, at 57m high the second tallest structure at Tikal is not for the faint-hearted - not really attempted as access is actually via a wooden staircase to the right of the temple itself - a bit rickety but entirely safe.

The towers of Temple I and II could be seen piercing through the thick jungle canopy from here.
