Access to Zion National Park from the East is through a very long tunnel carved out of the sandstone mountains. The end of the tunnel is high of the side of the canyon and a steep road with switchbacks descends to the canyon floor. Zion is one of the most visited Parks in Utah and is a gem of the National Park system.
