El Shaheed Monument
Baghdad

Martyr Monument of the most prominent architectural landmarks in Baghdad. It is designed by the architect of the Iraqi Saman Asaad Kamal and dome designed by Iraqi artist Ismail Fattah al-Turk. Lies the genius of the design lies in the optical illusion in place the monument on the sprawling open ground, as seen passing drive around the monument to the two parts of the dome that looks closed at the beginning of the street, and begin to move away from one another as if the gate opens out in front of him as a prelude to something. When the visitor enters the memorial site notes that this thing is the Iraqi flag, which rises to the top of the embodiment of the spirit of the martyr rise to the sky.
