Lake Nasser

Madik ist eine sehr eindrückliche Region des Nassersees. Hier sieht es aus wie in einem Schneegebirge

ohne Schnee, aber mit einem gelb-orangenen Sand. Man kann die Ausgangsbucht dieser Wanderung nur mit einem
Safarischiff des Typen Nubiana oder Ganoub oder auf einer Wanderkreuzfahrt erreichen. Die grossen
Kreuzfahrtschiffe kommen hier nicht hinein. Auf unserem 2-stündigen Trekking entdeckten wir prähistorische
Malereien und versteinertes Holz.

The Egyptian name is in honor of President Gamal Abdel Nasser, who was the mastermind behind the controversial High Dam project.Lake Nasser (Arabic: بحيرة ناصر‎; transliterated: Buhayrat Nasir) is a vast reservoir in southern Egypt and northern Sudan.
