Snaple Point Langland
Wales

Snaple Point is the headland at the western end of Langland Bay, the eastern end of the bay is Rothers Sker. Surfing and windsurfing are very popular for local and holiday makers alike, as are the picturesque cliff path walks. The Bristol Channel has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world at 10m. Across the Bristol Channel can be seen the coast of Devon some 24 miles away and when it is clear, the island of Lundy, some 40 miles to the south west. In 1956 the Gower Peninsular was the first area in the UK that was designated an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty. Strict planning laws ensure that the natural beauty of the area is unspoiled. Behind Snaple Point and the western end of the bay is Langland Golf Course.
