В 2001 г. на набережной открыт памятник великому русскому флотоводцу Ф.Ф.Ушакову. Во время русско-турецкой войны 1768-1774 годов он служил лейтенантом на судах Азовской флотилии, частично базировавшейся вблизи крепости Димитрия Ростовского.
