The General Sherman Trail runs for about half a mile from a parking lot to the General Sherman Tree. The General Sherman Tree, the world’s largest tree, is one of most visited attractions in Giant Forest. Visitors can reach the General Sherman Tree from a parking area and trail located off the Wolverton road in a former dump site outside of the sequoia grove.
