Kaaba is perhaps the only cafe in Prague that is actually open when people want coffee the most, at the crack of dawn, 8 in the morning. It is also on that very long street in Vinohrady, where I can never find the restaurant I'm looking for, for some reason, until I ask someone.
Of all the painted walls of cafes and bars, Kaaba's are my favorite. The rounded geometric ashtrays of of that lovely era of industrial design, the 1950's, help make the people feel like villains from James Bond movies. It's all you could ever want for a soothing break from the outside world.
