Holy Mount Zion (Temple, Altar)
Taiwan

Holy Mount Zion, covering an area of about 200 hectares, sits on a hillside. For decades, it has been cultivated and managed by a group of Christians who claimed the right to the settlements. The residents have the right to stay outside of the political and educational system but are covered by the law and welfare system of Taiwan. In Holy Mount Zion, one can see various distinct constructions with Christian connotations, such as the David Castle, Building of Victory, and Christ is the Rock. There is also the altar and the temple which are located on a wide meadow surrounded by a lush forest and solemn atmosphere. Currently, there are about 300 residents, who lead a self-sufficient life by farming and selling produce to visitors. The spot is open to visitors during weekends.
