The Munich Residenz (Germany), that served as the seat of government and residence of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings from 1508 to 1918, hosts ten courts. The one in this panorama, named Kaiserhof (Emperor's Court), was accessible only on major ceremonial occasions.
