Karanga Campsite By Night
Tanzania

Ice cold, clear night in the Karanga camp on the southern slopes of Kilimanjaro in about 4000 m altitude. From the valley below illuminate the lights of Moshi and Arusha in the south up to the west. In the north, the shadowy summit of Uhuru peak is visible with its glacial tongues. And above all, a starry sky stretched with innumerable bright stars.


It was quite a grind to drag along on this tour  all the camera equipment with tripod, remote release, fisheye, spare batteries, memory cards and all other stuff. But it paid off!
(...even if the picture is a little bit noisy, the stars have formed lines in part due to long exposure time, the image is blurred in parts .....)
