Big Antelope Spring
Nevada

Big Antelope Spring was a historical pitstop for pioneers taking the Applegate Trail to the Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon.  This location is located in a remote area west of Imlay, Nevada, now w/ a livestock trough.  There was a dead heifer nearby that left a foul stench.  A nearby historical sign reads:

Applegate Trail - Antelope Springs

"Took the Lawson Road... to a spring of good water on the left of the main road about a mile with a good road leading to the spring and then back into the road... the water funs out of a bluff at the foot of the mountain" - J.D. Randall, Aug. 13, 1852
