The Sjøforsen bridge, Norway
Norway

THe old Sjøforsen bridbe was built with the help of local manpower in 1905, in the same year Norway left the union with Sweden and became independent.

The bridge made traffic to inner mountain villages easier.

The bridge is restored now and has a monument status. As early as 1975 it was registred as a cultural heritage in municipality of Hemnes.

An old folk tale tells that here is a troll living under the water fall under the bridge.

If you walk the bridge cautiously you could be lucky to catch a glimpse of the troll.
