Vidette Meadow along Bubbs Creek
California

At the edge of Bubbs Creek in Vidette Meadow on the Rae Lakes Loop Trail in Kings Canyon National Park. The ridge that leads to Glen or Kearsarge Passes rises to the North, along with the Kearsarg Pinnacles somewhat covered by trees, whereas East Vidette pokes above the trees to the Southeast. An orange sign can be seen about 30 feet up a tree to the East that marks the meadow as a snow survey location, for the California DWR.
