Yebra de Basa, square
Spain

Yebra de Basa is the head of the Valle de Basa, on the right bank of the river that gives the valley its name, has good examples of traditional architecture topped by conical chimneys emerging and "espantabrujas" (witch scare). Sixteenth-century parish church with outstanding baroque altarpiece and tables Renaissance mazonería reused, and the interesting reliquary bust of St. Orosia prepared in embossed silver and dated in the fifteenth century.
