The Empire style five-tiered bell tower was built in 1826-1846. The height of the bell tower reaches 67 meters, which allows the church to remain one of the tallest buildings in the city. After reconstruction on August 28, 1848, the temple was re-consecrated by the Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna Filaret.
