The Fishermen’s Wharf is located at Pier #2 inside the Penglai Commercial Harbor. It used to be a bulk goods terminal and warehouses, but in recent years, for the first time the Central Harbor Bureau has allowed the pier to be privately operated. No matter the time of the day, the Fishermen’s Wharf has its own unique charms. One can watch the majestic seascape and the frequently incoming and outgoing (ships coming to and fro) liners and vessels. It is the perfect spot for lovers, friends, families gatherings and foreign tourists to dine and enjoy the view.

During afternoons of weekends, sitting in the outdoor café at Kaohsiung Fishermen’s Wharf, with the sunlight spilling all over the Port of Kaohsiung, the brilliant sea surface glistens with dazzling radiance, and busy container ships roll up waves after waves of spray. Under the bright sunlight, with lazy Bossa Nova music playing and the ringing laughter of youthful friends, the Port of Kaohsiung seemed both romantic and impassioned at times like this.
