♦“上高会战”又称“锦江会战”。1941年3月，侵华日军抽调33、34师团及第20混成旅，配备飞机10多架，坦克40余辆，分北、中、南三路秘密集结。在第11军司令官园部和一郎的指挥下，企图对上高的中国国军第19战区实行分进合击，打击和削弱国军，以便巩固南昌外围，抽调兵力驰援华北。由中国国军第9战区副司令长官兼第19集团军总司令罗卓英指挥，集中了第49、第70、第73、第74军约11个师的兵力参战。
♦上高会战，中国军队击毙日军少将指挥官岩永、大佐联队长滨田，日军伤亡15792人，击落敌机1架，缴获日军军马2800余匹，辎重物资无数。中国军队伤亡20533人。担任攻击主力的74军被授予当时最高军中荣誉——“飞虎旗”。
