Iglesia Irca, archaeologycal site near Jimbe, 3150 m
Peru

En una cima privilegiada, a 3150 m de altitud, se ubica esta importante construcción preinca, la cual se llega a distinguir desde la localidad de Jimbe (1200 m de altitud). El edificio central es cuadrangular, de 40 m de lado, desde la cual se extiende una explanada se similares dimensiones. A los lados del conjunto subyacen varias plataformas o andenes. A continuación de estas caen profundos abismos en prácticamente todo el derredor, con lo que se configura un mirador estratégico.

More About South America

South America makes up the southern half of the Americas and a large part of Latin America. It's home to the world's longest mountain range, biggest waterfall and largest river -- even these mammoths pale in comparison to the stunning variety of life forms thriving in the rainforest.
