You rarely get days when there is no wind in the mountains and even if you get them it can change very quickly and each valley is different. I was on my way to the Watkins path but on that day I never made it there because there was just no wind and all the lake were perfect mirrors. Even though I did not make it there that early because it as mid December the light was still beautiful and the mountains around created nice shadows.
Those are the days and the scenes people come to Snowdonia for but it is only by pure luck that you actually experience one of them!!
