Perm region. Chusovaya river. Stone Velikan.
Russia
Velikan - the highest stone on the Chusovaya River! He has no equal in height. With a huge wall of 120 meters (according to other sources, 115) it rises up above the constantly running forward Chusovaya River. The length of the stone is also impressive - about 1.5 kilometers. From the water, the whole stone cannot be seen with a glance, since it stands at a bend, and the river makes a turn here. The stone is almost sheer, with a slight slope. The height of the rock then decreases slightly, then increases again. The rock mass is divided by hollows. The limestone that the stone is composed of is darker than that of most other rocks on Chusovaya. In some places, the rock comes close to the water, but is still mostly separated from the river by a small coastal strip.
