Thanks for stopping by to learn a little about me. It’s always good to put a face in front of the work.
I’ve been into photography most of my life. Having grown up primarily in California I spent more than 15 years in the beautiful state of Alaska, 6 of which was in the Air Force. I owned and operated a successful portrait studio in Alaska for 5 years (1994-1999) called Northern Exposure Photography of Alaska. We traveled quit extensively throughout the state providing portraiture services to outlying and very remote towns and Eskimo communities. From Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands to Fairbanks, Ketchikan in the south to Barrow in the north we hit all points in between. We also did school photos for all 14 schools in the Lower Kuskokwim School district. In our 5 years as Northern Exposure Photography we had shot over 250,000 sittings all of which was with medium format cameras. Even today many of the Eskimo families still remember us. We eventually lost the schools to a very large nationally run corporation. So I packed up and moved to warmer climates back in California and finally settling in Arizona.
In wanted to venture back into the industry I was lured to the fascinating world of panoramic photography - creating and building 360 degree panoramic images. From showcasing homes through the use of Virtual Tours to showing off personal images from holidays, weekend getaways and camping trips. At least that was the plan.
As any person venturing into panoramic photography I had to search out and purchase a panoramic tripod head. After careful research and study I ended up buying the Nodal Ninja direct from Nick Fan the developer and manufacturer. After a few back and forth emails we learned we each shared the same entrepreneurial passions and ended forming a business relationship that has grown Fanotec to where it is today.
Nodal Ninja is also a company name, used by permission of Fanotec that operates under the umbrella of Bill Bailey L.L.C. - a Limited Liability Company. We are responsible for many aspects of Nodal Ninja to include marketing and distribution, website, e-commerce store and support. Because most of my time is now working with the operational responsibilities of Nodal Ninja CircularWorlds.com is more for pleasure than pay.
