Bürgstadt is located on the north-eastern edge of the Odenwald and on the south-western edge of the Spessart near Miltenberg. The small wine-growing town is characterized by viticulture and is known above all for its excellent red wine. The best conditions for viticulture are the red colored sandstone as ideal soil and the mild climate in the Lower Franconian Main Valley.

Wikipedia: La Franconie (en allemand Franken) est une région géographique et historique du centre-sud de l'Allemagne. Depuis 1815, elle est annexée à la Bavière, dont elle représente aujourd'hui environ les 2/5 nord du territoire.
