The Cathedral of Santa Maria, also known as the Duomo of Cagliari, is situated in the heart of the old town Castle. It's long 35 meters up to the choir, 34 meters wide and 32 meters high in the dome. It was built in Gothic-Romanesque style and then reduced the typical shapes of Genoese Baroque, by Domenico Spotorno, in collaboration with the Ligurian stonemasons (Solario and April), 1669-1702
