草里漁港原名阿里荖位於台北縣石門鄉草里村淡金公路旁，鄰近台電核一廠，原為小型漁船及舢舨停泊處，無防波堤碼頭設施，早期建有兩道簡單低矮混凝土堤延伸入海，僅供漁筏於平時繫靠，無法避風。

政府為改善便利船筏靠岸繫泊，乃於民國70年間開始興建漁港，七十四年編列100 萬元，將港區遷移至左側石灘，並修建簡易繫船設施，以利當地漁筏繫泊。至今已有 0.4 公頃泊地面積及 247m 碼頭可提供船筏使用，相關陸上設施有上架場、給水站、儲油庫、標識燈桿等。
