沿武候祠西侧廊前行，即可进入史称"惠陵"的刘备墓地。据《三国志》记载，此为刘备及甘、吴二夫合葬墓。墓封土高12米，周长180米，清代所制"汉昭烈皇帝之陵"石碑立于墓前。

惠陵是武侯祠内最早的文物，始建于章武三年（223）。《三国志-蜀书-先主传》说：章武三年四月，先主殂于永安宫，五月，梓宫自永安还成都，八月，葬惠陵。按秦汉旧制，皇帝即位后便开始预作寿陵，但鉴于当时的战况，有可能是在章武二年冬天，刘备病重后才开始着手帝陵的选址和修建。梓宫五月回成都后，虽然当时已是夏天，却没及时入葬，大概与当时惠陵尚未建成有关。惠陵内合葬有先主的甘、穆二位皇后。
