Gaukoenigshofen is located in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg in the valley Thierbachtal. The panorama shows the Guardian Angel Church. The church was built between 1724 and 1730, the plans were made by Mathias Kolb. Because of its baroque features, the Guardian Angel Church is also called the Cathedral of Gau.
