The Englishman's Forest House is located between Jakobsthal and Sommerkahl on the Spessart- mountain road, where the curvy district roads AB 2, AB 23 and AB 19 meet at an intersection. The ridge is commonly referred to as Englishman, geographically it is the ridge of the northern mountain Eselshöhe. The name Englishman is derived from a railing that a drunken forester once fell over.
