Die Überreste der antiken Stadt Herakleia liegen am Camici-Gölü (Bafa-See) an der türkischen Westküste südlich von Kusadasi. Die Ruinen liegen verstreut im Dorf Kapkiri und zum Teil auf den Felsen des stark zerklüfteten Besparmak Dag (Fünffingerberg). Wie zerklüftet dieser Berg ist, kann man hier gut sehen.
