Klingenberg has a picturesque historic old town with numerous half-timbered houses from the 16th and 17th centuries. One of the most beautiful half-timbered houses is the old town hall from 1561 with a half-hipped roof and central bay window. The Golden Sword was erected in 1473 in the late Gothic style. Its red sandstone vault is driven into the rock at ground level. The framework made of strong oak beams rests on it.
