Manastir sveti Stefan se nalazi jedan kilometar severno od sela Lipovac, odnosno 23 km severoistočno od Aleksinca, 32 severno od Niša i 10km vaydušnom linijom od Sokobanje. Sagrađen je ispod krajnjih obronaka planine Leskovik (ogranci planine Rtanj). Manastirski hram je posvećen Preobraženju Gopodnjem.
