The old town of Miltenberg is located on the left bank of a two-kilometer-long outer curve of the river Main. The river is an important lifeline for the medieval city, but the location on the river holds for the 10,000 inhabitants of a significant flood risk. Today the dam is finished - and the school ship Polaris also found a new landing stage.
