Schneeberg is a small town in the Bavarian Odenwald Nature Park. In the middle of the village rises a house of God, an impressive, stepped, double-nave church building. The first church stood here in 1445. This building was replaced by a new church with a massive tower in 1476. In 1931 the church was fundamentally enlarged by adding a parallel nave on the north side.

Depuis 1815, elle est annexée à la Bavière, dont elle représente aujourd'hui environ les 2/5 nord du territoire.
