Schollbrunn - Chapel St. Mark
Franconie

The ruin of the Chapel St. Mark are located in the Spessart-forest, southeast of Schollbrunn in the district of Main-Spessart. St. Mark was first mentioned in 1216. The church were built in honor of St. Mary, Laurentius and Nicholas. From 1297, the chapel is a place of pilgrimage. St. Mark was destroyed in the peasant war around 1525. The ruin then served as a cattle stable.
