Shaftesbury, Gold Hill

Gold Hill, with its steep cobbles and picturesque cottages is the epitome of rural charm from a previous time.

It was made famous after being featured in a 1973 television commercial for Hovis bread. The film, voted Britains best commercial of all time, was directed by Ridley Scott.
