The first flowers to emerge among the Park´s greenery are the Tulips, usually opening in the last ten days of March: for about a month almost a million of them appear as a galaxy of yellowy orange and red, along with cyclamen-coloured and the very special deep purple Queen of the night.

Belonging to the Lily family, the flower originated in Turkey and has long oval leaves with certain of its varieties blessed with the most wonderful perfumes.
By tradition the Tulip symbolises perfect love, first love, magnificence and honesty.
