Tadi Mountain (fort), Mituo
Taiwan

Tadi Mountain in the Mituo District embraces a millennium-old shell mound site and unique terrain. Although it only has a 52-meter elevation, the mountain is a rarely seen highland in the Tainan area and Kaohsiung coastal area; it also exhibits a mud volcanic terrain nearest to the coast in Kaohsiung. The area was a controlled artillery base, with a unique defensive advantage that has a distant control over the western sea area. The fort on the mountain top has an excellent far-away view of the Gangshan area and Mituo, as well as the Yong-an coast.
