The Rolling Plains of Ausangate
Peru

A glorious morning as I set off on the Ausangate trek the balzing sun seemed to  have set the rolling plains below the masive Ausangate (6,384m) and Callanagte (6,110m) alight. The indigenous people in this mountainous area largely eke out a living from llamas and you could see a large herd of them just below in the distance.
