Zimmern is a district of the town of Marktheidenfeld in Lower Franconia district of Main-Spessart in Bavaria. Decisive for the development of the small village was Rothenfels on the other side of the river. Rothenfels Castle and the settlement of the same name date back to the middle of the 12th century. Today the castle is a modern youth hostel.

Wikipedia: La Franconie (en allemand Franken) est une région géographique et historique du centre-sud de l'Allemagne. Depuis 1815, elle est annexée à la Bavière, dont elle représente aujourd'hui environ les 2/5 nord du territoire.
