The Fleckenstein is on 370 m height between Lembach on the French and Deer Valley on the German side. He is both the link road Hirschthal Lembach, as well as hiking trails within easy reach. Next to the castle there is a parking lot. 1 km southwest of Fleckenstein, beyond the above link road, next to the river Sauer flows, rises the equally French Froensburg; NE 2 km, but on a ridge to a much greater height, each 500 m apart, the High Castle, Loewenstein (also Lindenschmidt), each on French territory, and Wegelnburg on German soil. All of these castles, if sufficient time is available to be visited within a day trip, one by one.

This is an overview of Alsace
