An Archaeological Site in Southern Utah
Utah

This pano was taken on an archaeological site in Southern Utah.  The large pits in the ground are prehistoric houses-- they were excavated out partially, then built up.  Inside would have been amenities such as storage pits, ventilation shafts, and fire hearths.  If you look carefully you can spot some of these features as well.

In the United States, the locations of prehistoric archaeological sites such as this one are kept strictly confidential for their protection and out of respect for the ancestors of the people who lived there.  For this reason, I have obscured the exact location of this panorama.
