Archeological Site Of Kizilca Rock Tombs Bozyazi Vr Mersin 24e
Turkey
The graves in Kızılca Neighborhood of Bozyazı District, Mersin, are located in the directions of the east and the west on two bedrock blocks lying on the north – south axis facing each other across a plain area in between. The entrances of the rock tombs in Kızılca are rectangular and burial sections of some are visible. The directions of entrances to these toms vary depending on the structure of the bedrock and the exact position where the tomb was built. Yet, the entrances of the tombs are generally located in the east and west. Seven burial sections were detected in this bedrock cemetery. It is dated to the Antique Period.
