Bis 1978 entstand auf einem Parkplatz-Gelände (Baulücke) in begehrter Innenstadt-Lagen eine gewerbliche und Wohnraum-Mischnutzung im Stil der damals ausgehenden 70er Jahre der Asamhof oder die Asamhöfe.

Seither gibt es mitten in der Münchener Altstadt direkt hinter der Asamkirche ein Ensemble von Wohnungen in den Obergeschossen, Geschäften, Restaurants, Cafes sowie kleinen Büros und Praxen im Erdgeschoss, die sich um begrünte Innenhöfe mit Pflasterwegen gruppieren.

Durch eine Reihe von Passagen werden die Kreuz- und Brunnstraße, Sendlinger- und der Sonnenstraße auf kurzen, attraktiven Wegen miteinander verbunden.
