Aveiro, Catedral, Convento de Jesus
Portugal

Square of the city where the Cathedral is located, and the Museu de Aveiro, former Convento de Jesus, where the famous tomb of Princess Joana is located.

The 15th century Cathedral was converted into the parish church of Nossa Senhora da Glória in 1835. In 1938 it became the Cathedral of the Diocese of Aveiro by Pope Pius XI bull, executed by D. João Evangelista de Lima Vidal. The church nave was rebuilt in the 19th century. XVIII becoming more illuminated with the opening of large oval windows.
