Bergamo: Almenno San Salvatore - St George's Church, The apse |
||
San Giorgio in Lemine is a Romanesque Church dating back to 11th/12th centuries with a Basilica-plan structure featuring three naves.
The elegance of the apse can be appreciated in the 360 Image: in particular the small slender columns that define the niches and frame the small windows. Even if it is not far from the city of Bergamo, the small Basilica is still immersed in a farming environment. Together with the Rotunda of San Tomè, just a few minutes away, it forms a very interesting Romanesque complex.
