Close to the middle of the southern winter while camped just off the road in the scrub.
This panorama captures what was a typical morning during our time in the South of Australia during what felt like early winter. The nights were cold, even this close to the sea and the dew in the morning was heavy, so heavy that the washing we did the night before (now hanging on the winch wire on the front of the vehicle) was now wetter than it had been after we had finished washing them.
These cold mornings make it easy to get up early and get on the road. About 15 minutes after taking this photo we were on the road in a nice warm 4 wheel drive heading yet even more south.
